After surgically removing a tumor in the breast, it is necessary to treat residual cancer cells present in the surrounding area.

The conventional way of doing this is with radiation therapy, which is expensive, requires 6+ weeks of daily visits, and can cause skin irritation, blistering, fatigue, and other harmful side effects.
